Unitemp is introducing a new compact dust chamber manufactured by the ESPEC corporation. It is designed for the testing and monitoring of the effects of dust and similar contaminants on electronic, electrical and mechanical components, and small assemblies.
Designated the ESPEC DC 27 it has an agitation cycle with a timer of 1 to 30 seconds and a settling timer of 1 to 30 minutes, all adjustable. The dust agitation is by compressed air jets controlled by the timer system with the flow rate adjusted manually.
The control panel is situated at the top right-hand front of the chamber, with easy-to-use controls consisting of illuminated timer and setting switches. Incorporated is a 10cfm regenerative air dryer, mesh product shelf and a V-shaped bottom for dust collection.
The D C 27 has a 'clamshell' type door/lid for front loading, with viewing window. There are glove ports to enable the test sample to be rotated without opening the door. Constructed inside and out with the highest quality stainless steel, it has an interior volume of 23ft3, measurements of 914 x 914 x 762mm, and it weighs 386kg. The chamber operates from a 240V 50Hz power supply with compressed air at 10 scfm at psig minimum.
This high-quality chamber complements Unitemp's extensive range of test and monitoring chambers/ovens, and the company has the expertise to provide 'specials' to customer requirements.
These innovative products have applications in the electronics, engineering, laboratory, process and manufacturing industries.
