Exico to host first open day and training seminars

Starting at 9am, the training sessions are open to anyone with an interest in industrial motors. These will be provided by Exico director Jerry Hodek, one of Europe's leading experts in industrial electric motors. Throughout the morning, he will provide a number of seminars looking at subjects such as an introduction to electric motors, the ErP (energy related products) Directive and common motor faults.

Exico's Sales Director Lucie Hodkova says: "We can also add other topics to the day on request, so if people have something motor-related that they would like explained or discussed, all they need to do is email me in advance and we will make the necessary arrangements.

"Anybody with an interest in industrial electric motors is welcome to attend; I would just ask that people hoping to attend drop me an email in advance, so that everyone is catered for. The training seminars will be in the morning, starting at 09:00am and will last until noon."

The open day will then commence with a tour of the new premises, including the engineering workshop where bespoke and customisation work is carried out. This will give visitors a chance to meet the staff and gain a better understanding of the capabilities within the company. After this there will be an informal barbeque lunch, where relaxing and networking will be the order of the day.

Exico is re-establishing an independent presence in the UK industrial motor market, 10 years after being absorbed into a global conglomerate. It is building up its capability to service OEMs and rewinders across the country, supplying both new motors and supporting existing installations.

Its catalogue includes: single phase motors, three-phase motors (IE1, IE2, and IE3), ATEX explosion-proof motors, marine motors, as well as medium and high-voltage motors. It also supplies variable speed drives, gearboxes and accessories such as brakes, fans, encoders and slide and coolant pumps for machine tools.
