Force transducer helps to cut press-fit cycle times

HBM's new stainless steel U93 force transducer reduces production cycle times in the monitoring of fitting processes such as stamping, riveting, clinching, or press-fitting.

This transducer features a compact design and flange connections on both sides, which makes it easy to install, particularly where space is a constraint. For integration with process controls, the U93 includes TEDS transducer identification.

When combined with the newly introduced MP85A FASTpress, the U93 can control, record and evaluate processes at up to 300 fitting cycles per minute. The MP85A FASTpress Suite PC software is matched to the amplifier and provides many additional functions for control, evaluation, and analysis of process data. It comprises EASYsetup for user administration, EASYteach for process analysis, and the MP85A Toolkit for individual programming.

HBM provides support that includes on-site planning and system start-up by professional service engineers as well as training for machine operators. Individual systems can be supported on request.
