NSK's New Bearing Doctor publication is an excellent tool to assist factory managers and maintenance engineers in identifying and preventing bearing failures to avoid costly production downtime.
The new FREE publication is said to be one of the most comprehensive of its type, running to 35 pages. Seven sections deal with all aspects of bearing operation including care and handling, mounting, lubrication and maintenance, types of bearing damage and countermeasures that can be adopted.
All of the sections are easy to assimilate and are complemented by charts and graphs that provide at-a-glance information on such factors as bearing irregularities and their possible causes, selection of lubricants for different applications, relation between oil viscosity and temperature, grease replacement intervals, etc.
In addition to these comprehensive charts, an entire section is devoted to full-colour images of bearings that have failed. Each is accompanied by a description of the symptom of the failure and its cause.
Free copies of the Bearing Doctor are available from NSK's Marketing Department on +44 (0)1636 605123. Callers should quote the publication reference E7005b 2007 C-1 as well as the title of the publication, MachineBuilding.net.
