Free DVD contains videos of SCARA robots in action

Collected by TM Robotics' extensive network of specialist integrators and partners, based across Europe and the USA, the DVD complements the recently launched guide to obtaining payback on robotic installations.

Nigel Smith, managing director of TM Robotics, states: "When the guide and the DVD are combined, the user has an extremely useful resource at their fingertips. Among the applications featured on the DVD is an innovative automatic box opening system called ABOT, which was developed in the USA by Cornerstone Automation. Designed to open boxes in retail, logistics and returns centres, the system can also be used to cut picking windows into cartons for point-of-use, point-of-sale or lean manufacturing. Other case studies see the robots placing the lids on oil burners before sealing them, packing meat and yoghurt, and assembling electronics components.
