Free-to-use online rolling bearing calculation software
Schaeffler (UK) Ltd is releasing an online rolling bearing calculation module for electric motors and generators. The software enables users to quickly and easily select suitable rolling bearings for motors and generators based on their typical mechanical loads and electromagnetic field loads. BEARINX-online Easy EMachine is available online and can be used free of charge. Initial registration is simple and the user can begin calculation work immediately.
The module allows calculations to be performed on electric motors and generators with horizontal, vertical or freely selectable orientation. Users can quickly browse and compare a range of different bearing support variants. The weight of the shaft, laminated cores and windings, as well as magnetic tension and other freely configurable loads are available for users to select. This allows belt pulleys, gears and shaft imbalances to be modeled at various speeds and under different load cases.
The software guides the user through each step of the calculation process. The data that has been entered is shown visually on screen for the user to check. Finally, the bearings (critical to the optimum performance of the electric motor) can be calculated and selected from a wide variety of variants. INA and FAG rolling bearing data can be easily uploaded from the integrated database. Saved files can be exchanged with Schaeffler's Engineering Service or with a local Schaeffler Technology Centre for final checking. The objective is to offer customers optimised, efficient support for their own product development process at all times and, in doing so, help to reduce development times.
BEARINX is a calculation program for the application of rolling bearings, enabling the modelling and calculation of complete power trains and linear motion systems, based on all the relevant data with respect to elasticity, contact rigidity and other environmental influences. Schaeffler offers special online modules that allow numerous target groups to utilise the outstanding potential of its in-house developed software.
The BEARINX-online Easy family is characterised by its ease of use and is available free-of-charge. INA and FAG-branded products can be quickly and reliably calculated based on simple catalogue formulae. The following modules are currently available: Easy BallScrew for ball screw bearing supports, Easy Friction for calculating rolling bearing friction, Easy Linear for calculating monorail guidance systems, Easy Linearsystem for single and multi-axis linear systems, and Easy RopeSheave for the design of rope sheave bearing supports.
