Free webinar: Guarding for The Machinery Directive
TUV SUD Product Service is hosting a free webinar, Practical Approach to Guarding for The Machinery Directive, at 14:00 BST on 27 September 2013.
The webinar will provide participants with practical knowledge of how to apply relevant EN guarding standards to ensure machinery complies with the essential health and safety requirements (EHSRs) of the Machinery Directive and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER).
TUV SUD Product Service points out that the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC includes machine guarding on the indicative list of safety products that require CE Marking under certain circumstances. Companies designing and manufacturing guarding need to be aware of their responsibilities under the Machinery Directive, and companies purchasing machine guards need to understand their responsibilities and what is required of their suppliers.
