HBM celebrates 25 years of ISO 9001 certification
HBM is celebrating the the 25th anniversary of its ISO 9001 certificate - Number 000001. Since HBM was awarded the first certificate, the quality management of 45,000 companies in Germany have been certified in accordance with ISO 9001; globally, the figure exceeds one million.
Over the past 25 years, HBM has undergone - and passed - nine major certifications and 14 routine surveillance audits.
HBM says it has remained at the forefront of quality management since that date by constantly developing its original quality management manual. The document remains at the heart of all corporate processes.
Andreas Huellhorst, CEO (second from right in the photograph), explains the development of ISO 9001 certification over the years by noting: "The transformation to purposeful, much more open interviews - moving away from formal inspection and monitoring and towards coaching for a process of continual change - has given us many fruitful ideas.
"Certification has helped us to establish HBM in the market as a leading company, synonymous with high-quality, precision measurement technology."
