HBM launches FastPress force and torque measurement chains
HBM is launching the FastPress suite series of force and torque measurement chains comprising sensors, press-fit electronics and software that have been matched for optimum performance. HBM says that the chains will enable design engineers and system planners to include efficient, matched measurement technology in production systems.
Users do not select individual components and then try to match performance; rather they select a complete functional system at an excellent price/performance ratio.
The measurement chains are available for force, displacement and torque measurements in production systems. The high quality and long-term stability of each component mean that they are suitable for challenging industrial environments. The measurement chains minimise rejects and reduce costs.
Between the evaluation electronics and the system controllers, the interfaces range from analogue signals, limit value monitoring to detailed monitoring software that displays and documents the production processes. Each product package contains relevant software.
The sensor technology can be supplemented with a series of components that simplify the integration in systems and machines. HBM provides additional support if required to help end users tackle automation tasks during commissioning.
