HBM is introducing U10S force transducers with UNF threads, thereby extending the applicability of its U10 family of force transducers.
UNF thread diameters and pitches - which are specified in inches - are commonly used in Great Britain and the USA, as well as other geographical regions, and are often used in aircraft construction.
Using the U10S transducers, tensile and compressive forces - both static or dynamic - can be safely and precisely measured, even on applications where there are high lateral forces and bending moments acting on the transducer.
The transducers are made of non-rusting materials and come with electrical bending moment alignment. They are available in a wide range of different configurations. Based on SG (strain gauge) technology, the transducers are offered with nominal (rated) measuring ranges of 1.25kN to 500kN.
HBM can supply the transducers with a variety of electrical connections, as well as different mechanical configurations, and they also benefit from TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet), which enables automatic parameterisation of the amplifier system. The transducers can optionally be calibrated with 200 per cent of the nominal (rated) force.
HBM has been supplying its U10 force transducers for many years and they are now commonly found in test benches, industrial applications and test machines. Follow the link for more information about the U10 and U10S force transducers.
