Hydraulic hose and connectors safety course from BFPA
The British Fluid Power Association (BFPA) runs Foundation Courses in Working Safely with Hydraulic Hose and Connectors. Each one-day training course gives attendees a good basic grounding to enable them to work safely with hydraulic hoses and connectors.
Course content covers the following key areas:
- Basic hydraulics
- Health, safety and environment
- Hose and connector identification
- Hose assembly
- Installation
- Hose and connector failure
Attendees receive a spiral-bound course book and four DVDs (three relating to fluid injection injuries, the other relating to the manufacture of hydraulic rubber hose), as well as a range of sample products.
Courses take place regularly at the BFPA headquarters in Chipping Norton, as well as at other locations around the UK. Class numbers are between four and eight people or, for larger manufacturers, courses can be held on site, tailored to the needs of the business. Course fees are 225 per person for members of BFPA and 295 for non-members (discounts are available for bookings of four or more people).
