Thanks to the integrated motherboard for the Extended ATX (EATX) standard, the new Kontron KISS 4U EATX boasts a very high power density and scalability, paired with flexible configurability for individual application requirements. With a total of 16 processor cores, 36 threads and up to 512GB of DDR3 ECC RAM, the industry server with its long-term availability of up to five years is suitable for performance-hungry applications such as industrial imaging, medical technology, cloud computing, as well as storage and simulation applications.

Kontron's Industrial Silent Server KISS 4U EATX, with its low noise level of around 35dBA, is also suitable for applications in noise-sensitive areas like manned control rooms, in professional A/V equipment and in long-term available CAD, QS and video surveillance systems. The KISS 4U EATX also stands out from other conventional servers, as it meets tough application demands, including high shock and vibration resistance, and has hot-swappable chassis fans which can now be exchanged more conveniently via the front panel, thus minimising maintenance effort. Besides the standard version with IP20 protection there is also a variant with IP52, which protects against dust and dripping water. The operating temperature ranges from 0-50degC.

The 32nm Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 family introduces enhancements intended to improve processor performance over previous generations, while lowering latency and saving power intelligently. It is the first dual-socket server-class Intel processor to integrate PCI Express 3.0, enabling the I/O hub to be removed to save blade- or board-level real estate.

Thanks to a MTBF of 50,000 hours, Kontron's industrial rackmount server guarantees high availability while minimising maintenance costs. The Kontron Industrial Silent Server KISS 4U EATX is CE certified and UL qualified. It supports Linux and Windows operating systems and is now in stock as a standard system.
