Infineon's Scalable iMOTION platform now at Mouser

The Infineon iMOTION MADK platform is a modular and scalable system available from Mouser Electronics as four full-featured kits. Each kit includes a control board with Segger J-Link debug interface, a complete power stage including rectifier, and an electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter. Using the iMotion platform's standardised M1 Interface, engineers can combine different power boards with the control board for flexibility and scalability during the evaluation and development phase at a lower cost. In addition to the iMOTION kits, Mouser also stocks separate power boards, as well as controller boards based on the Infineon XMC1302 ARM Cortex-M0 microcontroller or the iMOTION IRMCK099 digital motion control IC with integrated Motor Control Engine (MCE).

Infineon's iMOTION MADK platform operates through field-oriented control (FOC) software, which offers support for sensorless motor control based on the XMC1302 microcontroller, as well as for Hall sensors or 3D magnetic sensors. The motor control software features an easy-to-use GUI software for defining parameters and tuning. Further application software development can be implemented via DAVE, Infineon's free-of-charge integrated development environment (IDE), or with major ARM IDEs, like Keil, IAR or Atollic.
