ITT Interconnect Solutions says that customers will benefit from improved on-time delivery and shorter product lead times on orders from its facility in Shenzhen, China, following the award of Class-A Enterprise certification from the Chinese Customs and Chinese Inspection & Quarantine Bureau. Only granted to companies with excellent quality and import/export Customs compliance track records achieved over at least three years, the Class-A Enterprise certification is significant in that it eases governmental restrictions and procedures. It will benefit not only customers in China, but also the company's European and United States plants and their customers who rely on products from Shenzhen.
Bill Taylor, President of ITT ICS, comments: "Only 132 of the estimated 12,000 companies in the Baoan district of Shenzhen have been awarded Class-A Enterprise certification this year. Several ISO certifications are necessary for a Class-A Enterprise rating and it has taken some years of dedicated effort by our Interconnect Solutions employees in Shenzhen to earn. It will significantly support ITT ICS's customer-centric culture initiative worldwide and I would like to thank all our employees in Shenzhen for their hard work and congratulate them on this outstanding achievement."
President of ITT China and India, Mike Kuchenbrod, adds: "We are delighted to have received official recognition as a business with the highest standards of compliance with Chinese Customs laws and regulations. ITT's businesses around the globe always strive to achieve the very best levels of customer service and this award of Class-A Enterprise Certification will benefit our customer base worldwide. I congratulate all our employees at Shenzhen on behalf of the Board of Directors."
