Visitors to the Schaeffler UK stand (B17) at the Manufacturing & Engineering North East exhibition (8-9 July 2015) at Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle, will have the opportunity to view Schaeffler's range of online fixed Condition Monitoring (CM) systems and offline devices, as well as the company's latest product innovations.
By monitoring critical components such as rolling bearings inside rotating plant and machinery, companies can eliminate downtime and increase the operating life of plant and equipment. Schaeffler offers a range of technology safeguards, which, when compared with the cost of lost production, are relatively inexpensive. These safeguards include a powerful monitoring system that combines an online, ultra-compact, vibration monitoring device (FAG SmartCheck) with a multi-point lubricator (FAG CONCEPT8) that can be adjusted to meet up to four different bearing sizes, each with varying lubrication requirements - an industry first. The Schaeffler stand will also include additional online and offline vibration monitoring devices and laser optical devices for the alignment of shafts.
Schaeffler will also host a workshop on both days of the show. Attendees of the "Vibration Monitoring to Maximise Asset Reliability' workshop will learn how to take a more predictive approach to their maintenance strategy, avoiding high repair and replacement costs and increasing machine availability. An overview of the key vibration monitoring tools and techniques will be provided and how these can contribute to higher efficiencies. Application examples and case studies will highlight how a condition-based maintenance strategy can increase output and reduce costs for asset reliability.
