Chris Petts was appointed as Managing Director of Lee Spring Ltd as of 1 August 2010 and has since put in place a major restructuring programme to energise the company and raise its profile throughout Europe.
New roles have been created in purchasing and customer service, and new staff have been recruited to manage sales, marketing and accounts*. Commenting on the changes, Chris Petts explains: "The aim is to enhance customer service through a more focussed direction of our resources. Central to the plan is strengthening our technical and applications capabilities and shooting for growth by intensifying marketing activities to raise awareness of the Lee Spring brand throughout Europe."
As well as offering a catalogue selection of over 16,000 springs, Lee Spring has a reputation for engineering excellence; its technical staff work closely with customers from a wide range of industries to provide precision custom designs.
Lee Spring has invested in its customer care service to make sure that customers have the springs they need just when they are needed. This means that customers can rely on same-day dispatch for stock springs and receive expert consultancy on spring design.
Petts states: "The company's objective is also to offer the same benefits that UK customers have enjoyed for many years to spring users and specifiers in Europe. Additionally, my team is looking to further develop our expertise in supplying specific segments such as medical supplies and aerospace engineering where there is growth in the market and where we already have proven experience."
