Miniature conveyors are based on aluminium extrusions

Automation Supplies is offering a range of miniature conveyors for transferring small parts. The smallest conveyor in the range is the type FR-20-20-M belt conveyor, which is is based on a 20 x 20mm T-slot aluminium profile to give compatibility with aluminium extrusion frame building systems commonly used by machine builders - such as the Valuframe system from Automation Supplies. The use of the 20 x 20mm aluminium extrusion gives a usable belt width of 15mm. No special materials are used for the belts, so replacing the belt in the future will not be problematic.

Power is provided by a 24V DC motor mounted beneath the conveyor. The compact drive housing measures only 100mm long and 112mm high, making the conveyor suitable for applications where space is tight. The end rollers are 22mm diameter, allowing small parts to be transferred easily to another conveyor or piece of equipment. The maximum speed is 20m/min and the maximum belt load is 2N. The minimum conveyor length is a mere 200mm, and standard sizes up to 1000mm are supplied from stock.

Automation Supplies is the UK distributor for these innovative belt conveyors, as they fit the company's ethos of using simple modular products to offer the user a real choice at competitive prices.

More information on these new conveyors is available from the Automation Supplies website at www.asconveyorsystems.co.uk/miniature-belt.html.
