MLC safety light curtains now with integrated AS-i interface

The Leuze electronic AS-i sensor portfolio already includes single beam safety devices and multiple light beam safety devices with beam spacings of 300mm, 400mm and 500mm as transmitter-receiver versions and transceiver systems. Especially when it comes to muting, the direct AS-i connection allows very convenient systems for users who place an emphasis on economy. In cooperation with the Leuze electronic safety monitor ASM-m, the safety sensors allow to easily create applications with muting based on AS-i Safety at Work. The ASM-m safety monitor controls the muting sequence.

For all its performance, the MLC safety light curtain is unusually slim (29 × 35mm) but very sturdy at the same time, due to the slightly set back front screens, reinforced side walls and metal end caps. Host-guest variants provide reliable protection without dead space and guarantee excellent system availability. The installation of the sensors is very easy due to the large variety of possible mounting brackets. Due to the extensive accessories, even for muting, the sensors can act as a complete system. Such systems are available in various ready-made models as protective sensor sets that offer users considerable advantages when ordering and using MLDSET, MLD-UDC, MLC-UDC.
