Modular automation for networking plants and systems

From October 10 to 13 2016, Baumller will be present in Hall 8, Booth 8510 at Motek in Stuttgart to showcase automation components for production, assembly and material handling technology. By exhibiting its converters and motors, including its control technology, modular software and services, the automation and drive specialist will highlight both its broad product portfolio and the large number of variants that are possible using standard components - for example, for material handling systems. As a system supplier, Baumller configures both the hardware and software according to customer requirements to ensure a smooth integration process.

Modular automation for networking plants and systems

When it comes to the development of hardware and software, Baumller always bears in mind the networking capabilities, for example with web capability, interface variety. By this the automation specialist enables with its product portfolio industry 4.0 in new and existing machines.

Baumller's wide range of components provides the right option for every application. Visitors to the company's booth will be able to learn about different motor types, such as rotary, linear and disc motors, as well as the company's range of converters. Using the example of a DSDI small servomotor, in which the control and power electronics are integrated directly into the motor, Baumller will show how compact designs can not only create freedom in machine design, but can simultaneously save space and cabling while also reducing costs.

Other automation components that will be on show include various control components, such as Box PCs with HMIs and PLCs, which allow material handling systems to be controlled via a central machine controller or alternatively as an independent unit.

Since spring this year, the new multi-axis controller b maXX 5800 complements the range of Baumller converters. It was developed particularly for robotics and handling applications. The combination of six independently controllable axes into one controller enables significantly faster communication in the system than with separate axis units. The decentralized servo drive b maXX 2500 is suitable for a variety of applications and industry sectors. The compact equipment scores with low wiring outlay and high flexibility.

Baumller's experts will be on hand at the booth to advise trade visitors about the company's products and services. As a system partner, Baumller provides a complete product range for demanding automation tasks - from individual components to complete systems.
