igus xiros plastic ball bearings are single-row grooved ball bearings consisting of just four components: the inner ring, outer ring, the cage and the balls. Standard igus materials are used, making the bearings lubricant- and maintenance-free, long-lasting and with a low coefficient of friction. As well as models for pure rotary motion, igus can also supply xiros thrust bearings and bearings that can handle rotary and linear motion simultaneously. Other variants include slewing rings, polymer ball transfer units and self-aligning plastic ball bearings.
Unlike traditional metallic ball bearings, xiros bearings work entirely without lubrication and are resistant to chemicals, heat and dirt. They are suitable for use in a wide variety of industries, including food, medical, packaging, textiles, chemicals, cleanroom, electronics and office technology.
