In addition, Murrelektronik has implemented a new packaging system for transformers and rectified power supplies to make sure they arrive safely at their destination. Murrelektronik is now using dense foam that forms to the shape of the product. This foam is better able to absorb shock and vibration during transportation ensuring that the outer parts, like brackets and terminals, are not damaged upon arrival. This approach was selected after careful testing because it was the only packaging material that passed the parcel services' drop tests. Another bonus: the packaging material can be completely recycled.
