NERLITE Smart Series Pharmalite for pharmaceutical applications
Microscan is introducing an addition to its NERLITE Smart Series lighting line: the Pharmalite. Built for robust performance in pharmaceutical packaging environments, the new lighting system will be demonstrated at the company's Booth 1J12 at VISION 2012, taking place in Stuttgart, 6-8 November.
The NERLITE Pharmalite combines sophisticated dark field lighting geometry with a specialised mounting bracket for easy integration with Microscan's imagers, smart cameras, and GigE cameras. The dark field geometry evenly illuminates flat, glossy surfaces without glare or hot spots, and is suited for illuminating labels, packaging containers, and other products in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as a variety of other packaging applications.
In addition to the strongest and brightest LEDs in their class, all NERLITE Smart Series products include an internal controller to provide a complete and easily integrated system. The built-in Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) feature allows dimming and on-off control, while the controller provides an adjustable intensity continuous mode and high-output strobe mode. By integrating this essential control function, NERLITE customers do not need to be concerned with choosing the right controller, determining the correct voltage, or picking the right connector for a successful installation. The NERLITE Smart Series line allows users to focus on the critical lighting requirements of their machine vision application, such as the wavelength (colour), field of view (size) and required geometry to optimise the signal-to-noise ratio of acquired images.
Like all NERLITE machine vision lights, Smart Series lights are 100 per cent LED based, which has the advantage of fast response, long life, multiple wavelengths and high-intensity capability. Microscan has also optimised all lighting products for factory automation applications by standardising on 24V power, standardising on industrial connections, and allowing operation to 40degC. All NERLITE lights are backed by a 3-year warranty, with standard lights in stock and ready for rapid delivery.
