New double-sided printer for use on marker sleeves
Tyco Electronics is introducing the new double-sided T6112DS printer for marker sleeve printing; this is a lighter, higher-accuracy printer to replace the company's previous T612M series printers. The new double-sided T6112DS printer features two stacked printhead assemblies for simultaneous printing of the front and back of the sleeve, and the printer achieves a high quality and image clarity on all recommended Tyco Electronics marker sleeves, including TTMS continuous marker sleeves. Superior print position accuracy makes the printer suitable for small marker sleeves.
According to Tyco Electronics, the T6112DS printer benefits from a smaller footprint than its existing double-sided printers, and the new model features a simple ribbon and media loading procedure. In addition, the new automatic calibration process reduces sleeve waste by nearly 50 per cent during initial calibration when compared to the old T612M printer.
Technical details include print speeds of 30, 40, 50, 75, 100 and 125mm/s (recommended speed is 50mm/s), and a maximum print width of 105.6mm. The printing method is 300dpi thermal transfer. Optional perforator and cutter units are available (which are useful when printing TTMS continuous marker sleeves).
