Series 1500 transducers and transmitters from PCB Piezotronics offer a complete selection for pressure monitoring in general-purpose and hazardous industrial environments.
General-purpose units feature a rugged, all-welded stainless steel construction. The design eliminates mechanical fasteners, washers, O-rings, and fluid fills, thereby greatly enhancing reliability and long-term repeatability, and making the units suitable for a variety of laboratory, factory, field, or submersible environments. Full scale ranges are available, from full vacuum to 6000psi (400bar), with accuracies of 0.5 per cent, 0.25 per cent, and 0.1 per cent. Units are supplied with 0-5V DC; 0-10V DC; or loop-powered 4-20mA output signals, with a choice of pressure port and electrical connectors.
Intrinsically safe Series 1500 units feature a thin, one-piece stainless steel monolith pressure fitting, port and diaphragm design with 1/2inch NPT thread, with the option of Inconel for H2S and sour gas media compatibility. Sensors are constructed without adhesives, welds, or fluid fillings, and have been certified under ATEX and CSA as intrinsically safe for use in hazardous environments. Transmitters offering intrinsically safe certifications are widely used on pumps, natural gas compressors, power generation equipment, and other machinery operating in hazardous environments. Full scale ranges are available from 500 to 10,000psi (35 to 690bar) and temperatures up to 121degC (250degF), with 4-20mA output.
