New guard switch incorporated in stainless steel hinge

When a high safety level (SIL 3, PL e) is required and cleanliness and hygiene are important - for example, in the food industry, pharmaceuticals or cosmetics - the S420 stainless steel switches offer significant benefits. They offer optimum cleaning options - even with high pressure - thanks to the rear cable outlet, a high-grade stainless steel finish and protection to IP67 or IP69K. Covered, tamper-proof screws also reduce the risk of manipulation.

This safety hinge switch is also recommended in the wood industry for applications where high reliability is important despite the presence of dust. Through the six-point fixing of the hinge, even heavy doors can be reliably guarded with opening angles of up to 180 degrees and a long service life.

Four multicolour LEDs allow precise, on-site diagnosis; an additional signal output is used to transfer the door status to indicators or controls. Customers can select versions with contact blocks or safety-related switching outputs (OSSDs). The latter enables up to 32 devices to be connected in series without reducing the safety level.
