elobau has developed the 424CO CAN-capable angle sensor with CANopen protocol, in compliance with ISO 11898. Its measuring principle is based on a Hall-sensor, which registers changes in the magnetic field and emits a corresponding signal. The sensor is therefore contactless, which makes it very reliable and ensures a long service life.
The 424CO angle sensor covers a measuring range of 360 degrees, with a resolution of 0.1 degrees and a linearity error of less than 1 degree over the entire angular range. Its pivot axis is supported by ball bearings and can therefore absorb smaller radial forces, making it suitable for applications in automation as well as vehicle construction. The IP67 protection class and the recommended temperature range of -40 to +85degC make it well suited for use in harsh environments. Its EMC resistance (field interference 200V/m in accordance with ISO 11452-5) and the CAN output mean the sensor lends itself for use in the vehicle sector, among others.
Using the CANopen protocol, diverse optional specifications such as baud rate or rotational direction can be set. elobau can also provide suitable cable sets or operating levers if required. It is connected using Deutsch connectors.
