Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of LXI-compliant switching products with the introduction of the 60-760 HF matrix. This is a dual 24x8 switching matrix specifically designed to switch HF 50ohm signals to 50MHz and is usable to 100MHz. The 60-760 can also be configured via software to operate as a single expanded matrix of 48x8.
The switching system is housed in a compact 1U high form factor, making it suitable for use in rack-mounted applications. All RF connections are provided on the front panel using easily accessed SMB connectors.
Being LXI Class C compliant, the 60-760 can be remotely controlled via its Ethernet port through a web browser or by the programmatic interface. Pickering says that controlling the 60-760 through the web even at great distances could not be simpler: the 60-760 LXI-compliant interface serves up a soft front panel application that enables the user to control the switching matrix without the time-consuming installation and configuration of drivers.
The products are the latest in an expanding range of LXI-compliant switching products available from Pickering Interfaces. David Owen, Business Development Manager for Pickering Interfaces, comments: "LXI is a rapidly growing part of our business. It has gone from nothing to being a significant proportion of revenue in less than two years. We are seeing a rapidly growing adoption of LXI in the test and measurement industry and Pickering Interfaces is fully committed to building a strong LXI business to compliment its PXI business. The recent successful LXI meeting in China supported by Pickering Interfaces shows that LXI will become a global standard for the test and measurement industry".
