Frank Schlosser has been appointed to the new position of Sales Director for Baldor-Dodge-Reliance in Europe. He will manage the European field sales and customer support staff for the company's three major electric motor and power transmission brands.
Schlosser joins from Rexnord, where he spent over 10 years, his final position there being Regional Sales Manager for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Southern Europe. Prior to this, Schlosser worked in engineering and technical sales roles for machinery companies, after studying mechanical engineering at the University of Bochum.
The motors and controls supplier Baldor acquired the Reliance electric motor and Dodge power transmission brands in 2007. The company's combined European operation now has five regional facilities in the UK, Switzerland and Germany, with a further support centre scheduled to open in 2008. A key element of Schlosser's role is to help automation customers to realise reductions in the total cost of ownership (TCO) presented by the group's ability to provide complete motor and power transmission products.
Frank Schlosser says: "Our combined portfolio and supply chain, together with our engineering support resources, gives us a unique ability to reduce TCO for automation engineering clients and OEMs. We can substantially reduce purchasing costs by supplying the complete power and transmission solution. And, we can work alongside customers to help design systems, applying our know-how to help users innovate."
