Micromech is launching a line of Spyraflo high-temperature plain bearings that benefit from improved performance and savings in applications subject to constant or intermittent high temperatures. The Self-Clinching, Self-Aligning high-temperature design is available in graphite bronze and teflon bronze, with the latter offering a very high load-carrying and temperature-tolerant capability.
A heated environment is often a problem for OEMs; for example, an equipment manufacturer using a powdered paint process that heats surfaces to temperatures in excess of 200degC to achieve the desired durable finish. This 'baking' process therefore requires bearings that can withstand high temperatures and this rugged new line of Spyraflo high-temperature teflon-bronze bearings has a maximum operating temperature of 282degC (540degF). The standard high-temperature range is available in sizes of 6, 8, 10 and 12mm, with options for specials in other sizes available on request.
Micromech is the UK and Eire distributor for these clever bearings.
