RARUK Automation is introducing a new addition to its range at TOTAL 2016. The MiR100 mobile robot is said to be easy to use for in-house transportation and logistics, being controlled via smartphone, tablet or PC and without the need for floor markers.
Taking the excess cost and complexity out of automation has proved to be a winning formula for RARUK Automation, the only company in the UK with the status of preferred supplier for Universal Robots (UR).
MD Peter Williamson explains: "The MiR100 builds on our growing reputation for providing cost-effective, hassle-free automation and we are delighted that this product will be one of our main exhibits at the show. It gives us the ability to help manufacturers automate other tasks in their production facility."
The load weight of this neat platform with bogie suspension is 100kg and it can also pull loads up to 300kg. Built-in sensors and cameras enable the MiR100 to be used for collaborative operation; it automatically stops when people or obstacles are in its path.
