NI named a great place to work for 6th consecutive year

For the sixth consecutive year, The Great Place to Work Institute has named National Instruments UK in its annual UK's Best Workplaces Special Report, distributed in The Financial Times, The Guardian and British Airways' Business Life inflight magazine. This national recognition is based primarily on employees' responses to the annual survey conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute (the Trust Index), and supplemented by companies' responses to a Culture Audit.

NI says that the Special Report highlights UK companies that demonstrate the best in leadership, people, management and a positive workplace culture. In 2011, National Instruments UK is listed as the top company in the 'Most Welcoming' category and was also shortlisted as a finalist in five special category awards, including Most Trusted Leadership, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Health and Wellbeing.

Robert Morton, NI UK & Ireland Managing Director, comments: "The fact that The Great Place to Work Institute has again recognised NI UK as one of the UK's best workplaces shows the value of our long-term commitment to our employees and corporate culture. The dedication of our employees has brought us through one of the toughest economic climates in history, and this recognition reinforces the value of our long-term vision."

As an employer, NI holds the philosophy that a well-balanced work culture improves employees' well-being, inspires excellence, advances good corporate citizenship and benefits all of the company's stakeholders. To support that philosophy, the company offers its employees professional, personal and community development initiatives, volunteer opportunities and wellness programmes and facilities.

Sam Gill, NI UK & Ireland HR & Operations Manager, says: "Our success this year directly reflects the values we hold as an employer. We realise that our sustained strength as a business only comes when our leaders and employees work together to maintain a positive corporate culture. The power of our culture has carried us through these challenging times and has positioned us well for long-term success."

In addition to UK recognition, the Great Place to Work Institute has also named National Instruments as one of the best places to work in Germany, Italy and France during the last year, and for twelve consecutive years in the USA.
