NSK and Brammer offer interactive solutions to bearing problems
NSK is extending its customer-focussed activities at Hillhead 2012 by partnering with Brammer in the MRO supplier's Mobile Centre of Excellence (stand A5) to provide industry-specific solutions to bearing problems experienced in the quarrying and mining industries.
NSK has its own stand at Hillhead 2012 (stand P45), exhibiting a full range of production-improver bearing products. The collaboration with Brammer is designed to complement this, via a service that delivers solutions to a wide range of bearing problems in extraction industries, using interactive displays in conjunction with an iPad.
This collaboration with Brammer will see two industry-specific boards employed in the Mobile Centre of Excellence -designed to showcase key product application areas - which has been touring the UK since January 2012, visiting key customer facilities and Brammer Sales & Service centres.
First is the interactive board. This enables users to search for and specify their particular problem area using the iPad. Once this is identified, a number of selected bearing options are provided, complete with the features and benefits of each proposed solution. These include Life Lube, Sealed Angular Contact bearings, HPSTM spherical roller bearings and Crane Sheeve bearings, all of which are designed to deliver improved performance and operating life under the adverse working conditions experienced in extraction industries.
The second board is devoted to innovative NSK products for quarrying and mining, featuring NSK's new SNN series of Plummer Blocks. These combine the traditional time-saving and easy mounting benefits of integrated bearing units with the highest levels of sealing and mechanical protection for use in demanding industrial environments, such as mining and quarrying, cement, water treatment and materials handling.
