At the 2008 PPMA Show Omron Electronics is showcasing its extensive product range in a series of real-life scenarios that have been developed in response to requests from machine builders and end users.
The scenarios show how Omron equipment can be used in novel and cost-effective ways in areas that the company's existing and potential customers have identified as having significant potential for future development.
Highlighted by these scenarios are the latest developments in: vision systems for process monitoring, quality control and automated inspection; remote connectivity as an aid to maintenance, data collection and error diagnostics for single machines or complete production lines; and systems that provide single-key machine set-up.
All of these emerging technologies are capable of delivering significant enhancements in machine throughput and uptime, combined with reductions in cost of ownership.
Also on show on the Omron stand will be an extensive selection from the company's diverse product family, including programmable controllers (PLCs), servo drives, AC variable-speed inverter drives, vision systems, HMI terminals, motion controllers and sensors. These are being shown both as part of the demonstration scenarios and separately.
Throughout the exhibition, engineers from the Omron team are putting their product and application expertise, gained from many years of experience in this sector, at the disposal of visitors. They will be pleased to discuss application issues and requirements of any kind with manufacturers, operators and machine builders.
