Hinge-mounted safety switch fits on aluminium profiles

Elesa is launching the CFS hinge-mounted safety switch that can be readily installed on most commonly aluminium profiles.

Furthermore, the main safety features of the new hinge switch are:

New design - this patented hinge with built-in safety function has been specially designed to provide a safer working environment. In the event of the door being opened accidentally, it automatically triggers the machine's safety-related control system to stop the hazardous motion that is being safeguarded.

Switch set with positive opening - meaning that there is no elastic connection between the moving contacts and the actuator on which the working force is applied.

Quick-release switch - the stroke speed of the contact-holder slider does not depend on the working speed: if the door is opened slowly the contacts are released quickly (when the contact holder slider is released the electrical connection is broken).

Tamper-proof - both the fitter and the end-user cannot interfere with the hinge because the switch is completely closed in a housing with an ultrasonically welded cover.

Easy to assemble - the built-in safety switch and the hinge come in one piece. This makes assembly both easy and fast. In contrast, conventional systems require a separate assembly; the hinge and safety switch are eventually connected by a special pin that replaces the standard pin of the hinge supplied.
