Heavy duty explosion-proof pressure transducers

Gems Sensors & Controlsvisit website

Gems Sensors & Controls is launching the 31EP/EA and 32EP/EA Series family of heavy duty explosion proof pressure transducers. They are expressly designed to withstand the more extreme environmental and pressure conditions common to oil and gas equipment applications. With reliable operation over more than 100 million cycles, the transducers provide a more robust, reliable, and cost-effective alternative than has been previously available with certain other industry options.

Design of the Gems 31EP/EA and 32EP/EA Series incorporates sputtered thin-film pressure-sensing technology, all stainless steel wetted parts and an IP67 enclosure. Their compact design facilitates ease of installation within space-constrained hazardous environments. Series transducers are offered as standard with customer choice of either CSA or ATEX hazardous area approval, along with a broad selection of pressure ports, electrical outputs, cable lengths and configurations. The designated “32 Series” of each group features higher proof pressure specifications. In addition, depending upon selected range, Series full-scale burst pressure performance can exceed 60,000 PSI (4000 bar).

All series transducers are manufactured by Gems in-house to ensure absolute product quality and consistency. As a standard catalogus product, the 31EP/EA and 32EP/EA Series is available for immediate customer order via the Gems website. Full-scale OEM volume manufacturing of standard series models can usually proceed within just a few business days.
