Parker will be exhibiting its latest fuel and heavy-duty lubricant filters at SMM, the shipbuilding, machinery, and marine technology international trade fair that takes place in Hamburg from 23-26 September 2008.
With 45,000 visitors from all over the world, and 1600 exhibitors, SMM is an excellent environment in which Parker can launch its latest filtration products, designed to ensure the reliability of essential on-deck and below-deck machinery. Developed in partnership with major vessel operators across the globe, Parker's innovative filters can help increase profitability considerably, giving users a valuable competitive edge.
On the Parker stand will be its new DFF40, a medium-pressure duplex filter with Eco elements, which can be serviced from the top or bottom for flexibility of installation. The DFF40 is suitable as a fuel filter for diesel engines up to 10MW, as a lubricating filter for gearboxes and propulsion systems, or in hydraulics as a medium-pressure duplex/in-line return duplex filter.
Also on the Parker stand will be a customised system based on the 38P high-pressure duplex filter. This is designed to offer compact and reliable filtration for hydraulic ship bow thruster units. To ensure the filter element can be changed safely, the duplex filter is supplied with a change-over valve with zero-leakage seal technology. Also integrated into the filter unit are process instrumentation for flow and element condition monitoring, and fluid sample points.
