Racor Filter Division Europe, which is part of the Parker Hannifin Corporation, has installed a new dedicated research and development laboratory and a new quality laboratory at its Dewsbury site in the UK. The laboratories will enable new filtration technologies to be brought to market quickly with proven results and assured quality. Providing fast, accurate testing of new filtration technologies, the state-of-the-art laboratories will enable Parker to help customers maximise their productivity and performance.
The Dewsbury R&D laboratory is the latest addition to Parker's expanding network of European test labs. It forms an integrated element of the entire manufacturing operation at Dewsbury, with five dedicated technicians based in the lab to put new Racor products to the test.
Parker says the new laboratory enables actual automotive and process conditions to be simulated on site, for fast and accurate results. This will enable the company to offer even more precise specifications for filter performance and media efficiency, making it simple for customers to choose filters that most effectively meet their requirements.
