PT/M26482 connector protection caps give audible click
ITT Interconnect Solutions has developed protection caps for PT/M26482 connectors that can be fitted easily in extreme weather conditions with gloved hands, making them suitable for military vehicles and military communications equipment as well as non-military applications such as off-road vehicles and commercial electronics in exposed locations.
These PT-ribbed connector caps have an arctic coupling nut that is designed to provide extra grip for gloved hands, and features quarter-turn locking with an audible click to verify secure fixing. The caps fit all M26482-style connectors/layouts and are made for panel-mount, jam nut receptacles and plug variants. The range of sizes is extensive: sizes 8 to 18 are available through ITT's distributors and sizes 20 to 24 on request. In addition, there are numerous cord length and fixing ring variants. Two finishes are available: olive drab green cadmium or black/green zinc cobalt.
