Push-pull solenoid offers high force over short stroke
Dialight BLP is launching the Series 151, a compact, push-pull solenoid with an unusual design. Now supplied in the UK from Aerco, the S151 is based on a tubular design but offers a relatively large force capability over a short stroke range.
Its design offers both pull and push motion in one unit, without the need for two separate solenoids, therefore saving space, component count and assembly time. It is both fast acting and capable of fast cycling, as its design stems from sewing machine technology where fast, repeatable motions are required with very close tolerances.
DC-powered, the S151 has a diameter of 19.3mm and a body length of 13mm with a continuous closed power rating of 2W from a continuous voltage of 3-24V.
