Reliance have a UK first in gear manufacturing technology

The Gear Hobbing Machine 2000 D-drive is the first of its kind in the UK. It allows for hard cutting up to 60HRc and has a fully synchronised direct drive tailstock. With CNC capability for larger components the machine will enable Reliance to produce spur and helical gears of up to 160mm in diameter to ISO class 4 whilst maintaining, and exceeding, the exacting high standards of manufacture and accuracy the company upholds.
