Schaeffler receives Global Quality Award from Nissan

Nissan's annual "Global Supplier Award' ceremony honours above-average results achieved by its strategic suppliers in key areas such as on-schedule deliveries, quality, innovation, sustainability, cost structures, social responsibility, and customer satisfaction.

Schaeffler was recognised for good cooperation and communication, as well as for the production quality of its engine components and dual mass flywheels. Nissan COO Toshiyuki Shiga presented the prestigious award to Matthias Zink, President of Schaeffler Automotive Asia-Pacific, during the awards ceremony at the Royal Park Hotel in Yokohama, attended by more than 240 suppliers and 800 guests.

Matthias Zink of Schaeffler comments: "As a global supplier of complex components, it is a great honour for us to receive this award. It is both a demonstration of the close cooperation between our two companies and recognition of the outstanding commitment shown by our teams worldwide. The award is a further incentive for us to continue on this path as a strong partner to Nissan, and to continue to fulfil the Japanese quality standards with above-average performance."

Last year, Schaeffler also received the "Global Innovation Award' from Nissan for the engine-side separating clutch developed by LuK for Nissan's fully hybrid Fuga vehicle. With the Global Quality Award, Schaeffler has proved once again that operational excellence, quality and technological innovation are central when it comes to fulfilling the high demands of its customers.
