Selection guide for heavy duty chain and sprocket range

Tsubaki Europe is introducing a new selection guide to accompany its range of heavy duty chains and sprockets for demanding applications. The increased link plate thickness and shape of the Tsubaki Heavy Duty Drive Chains allow for compact designs as well as providing excellent kilowatt rating and tensile strength. The selection guide helps customers to specify the chain type within the range that is best suited to their application.

Within the Heavy Duty range there are four chain types: Super Roller Chain, RS-HT Chain, Super-H Roller Chain and Ultra Super Chain. The purpose of the selection guide is to allow customers to easily specify chain which is likely to be best choice for their applications.

The guide is easy to use and gives a brief description of the key features and benefits of each chain as well as listing its three main applications and available sizes. For example, users can easily see that Super Roller Chain is suitable for Steel, Automotive and Agricultural industries; available in sizes up to 3 inches pitch chain; and offers Tsubaki's offset link feature which allows it to be used with an odd number of links to create the required length of chain.

This selection guide allows users to gauge the suitable level of chain for their application to avoid over specification. Information is also given about Tsubaki's heavy duty sprockets which are formed with a deep hardened layer down to the tooth bottom, for use with heavy duty chains.

Derek Mack, UK Sales Director, comments: "Tsubaki has developed a wide range of heavy series chains to meet the many demanding applications which can be found in any industry. This guide helps users to select the chain that is correct for them. Our sales team is always on hand to provide specialised advice for most applications. This guide provides a starting point to help explain the wide range of products available."
