Shuttered duplex LC adapters for high-power applications
Tyco Electronics is adding a family of shuttered duplex LC adapters to its line of LC connectors and adapters. The new products are designed for the low-profile, SC cut-out adapter and include slip-on retractable covers within the standard cut-out for enhanced eye protection. They are suitable for high-powered applications in the data communication and telecommunication industries.
Paula A Trindell, product manager, comments: "A unique feature of the slide-on shutter provides for eye safety without changing the board cut-out. In addition, its convenient single-door design allows for an effortless one-handed connector installation."
Available product offerings include flanged and flangeless plastic configuration, secure adapters, and metal-flanged adapter styles.
