SMC aims to surprise at Drives & Controls Expo 2014
SMC will be challenging perceptions of its product range when the company appears at the Drives & Controls Expo at the National Exhibition Centre near Birmingham, from 8-10 April. By moving almost every display from their UK Innovations Centre to the one of the largest stands in the exhibition, SMC will be able to demonstrate many of the products for which they are less well known at the 3-day show - as well as the core ranges of products which have cemented their reputation as world leaders.
Housing 36 display panels, many interactive, stand F210 will allow visitors to Drives & Controls to discover products which eliminate static build-up, provide precise temperature regulation, products suitable for clean room environments, vibration suppression and lubrication of downstream ancilliary equipment - to name just a few. SMC's best-known product ranges will be alongside, the stand also showcasing problem-solvers including valves, cylinders, process equipment and electric actuators.
The centrepiece of the company's display will be a production cell where live orders for pneumatic system control panels will be assembled, in another illustration of SMC's capability to diversify into previously unfamiliar activities to meet customer demand.
A third consecutive inclusion in Forbes magazine's annual list of the world's most innovative companies was one of the drivers behind the decision to put newer product ranges in the spotlight at Drives & Controls Expo, says SMC's UK Product Promotions Manager, Pete Humphreys.
