Stratus joins Rockwell at 25th Annual Automation Fair in Atlanta

Stratus Technologies, Inc. is announcing its sponsorship of the 25th annual Rockwell Automation Fair, being held at the Georgia World Congress Center on November 9-10, 2016.

EJ Schmidt, Vice President, Global and Corporate Marketing, Stratus Technologies says: "We are excited to be sponsoring the Rockwell Automation Fair again this year. The event is particularly timely for us as it coincides with the launch of our global Modernise Automation campaign. Ageing operational technology (OT) infrastructure compels industrial companies to modernise their automation environment in order to increase plant efficiencies, benefit from application consolidation and provide higher returns on assets. With greater dependency on applications such as SCADA, HMI, Historian and MES, the elimination of unplanned downtime becomes even more critical, making risk-free virtualisation with Stratus an imperative for successful deployments."

Automation Fair attendees can visit Stratus at booth #1463 to find out how Stratus is supporting the modernisation of automation and see live demos of the Stratus ftServer - the proven fault-tolerant platform for preventing downtime, mitigating the risks of virtualisation and providing an average life span of 6+ years. Visitors will also be given access to Stratus' new Best Practices Kit for Modernising Automation that covers tools and best practices to:

  • Eliminate unplanned downtime of SCADA and ICS assets
  • Increase performance with modernised OT
  • Optimise efficiency and drive plant innovation with virtualisation
  • Develop a future-ready OT system to support IIoT and emerging applications

In addition to the live demonstrations at the Stratus booth, Frank Hill, Director of Business Development for Stratus, will deliver the highly anticipated track "˜Virtualisation for the Connected Enterprise', where he will be discussing how best to implement virtualisation outside the data centre to support a modernised infrastructure on your journey to a Connected Enterprise. The session will run on Wednesday, November 9th and Thursday, November 10th at 9am.
