ITT Cannon's new 2mm Modular CBC 20 is another addition to the company's Tempus cable connector series. It has a two-part modular plug and receptacle structure that offers the interconnect headroom necessary to expand as design requirements change. Engineers will be able to use it to manipulate large amounts of data at greater speed. The standard four- and five-row cable receptacles include all the components needed to assemble finished cable ends. The four-row versions provide 4x6 and 4x12 contacts, and the five-row versions offer 5x6 and 5x12 contacts. They accommodate the most commonly used wire sizes (AWG 24-30) with insulation displacement contact (IDC) technology.
