TM Robotics (Europe), which is well known for its broad range of SCARA and modular Cartesian robots, is launching its first six-axis anthropomorphic robot, the TV800, with a total arm length of 800mm, a reach of 892mm and a maximum payload of 5kg. The composite maximum speed is 8.06m/s and repeatability is +/-0.02mm.
Complementing the TV800 is the new TS3100 controller and EZ Cell graphical programming software, which is claimed to be much more intuitive than the programming tools from other robot suppliers. Furthermore, EZ Cell can also be used with the company's SCARA and Cartesian robots. While ease of use is a benefit in itself (only half a day of training is required), the main advantages are significant time-savings for system integrators and an easier entry to the world of robotics for companies that have previously viewed robots as being something that 'other people' use. The TV800 can also be programmed using an optional teach pendant.
Nigel Smith, managing director of TM Robotics (Europe), comments: "The TV800 completes the set for Toshiba Machine and for us. We now offer the widest range of SCARA robots on the market, a Cartesian solution that can be configured in literally hundreds of ways, and a six-axis robot that can be compared with the very best in its class. Coupled with the ability of our IP65 SCARA robot to compete with FlexPickers in industries such as food and pharmaceuticals, our range now feels whole."
