Torque flange incorporates coupling for easy mounting

The robust T22 torque flange can be directly mounted to the housing because of the installation between stator and rotor. However, both sides of the transducer require connection elements for compensating unavoidable assembly problems; for example, axial, radial and angular offset that are removed by the bellows coupling. By supplying both couplings and transducer, HBM is increasing the reliability.

Three types of couplings are available in steps from 5Nm to 1kNm. They can be used horizontally, vertically or transversely, are maintenance- and wear-free and provide high torsional stiffness. The T22's low measurement uncertainty (0.5 accuracy class in compliance with HBM's demanding definition) is not negatively affected. The couplings are free of play and, when combined with a torque application via friction joints, ensure correct torque application.
