Valve terminal system weighs less but has high flow rate
Rexroth is introducing a 'light generation' (LG) version of its HF pneumatic directional control valve series, which is already proven for medium-sized and larger actuators. Rexroth's HF03-LG is a lighter valve terminal system, yet it retains an impressive flow rate of up to 700 litres/min.
The new HF03-LG valve series features a modular design and can be extended up to 12 valves, one at a time. It is suitable for applications calling for both small dimensions and a high flow rate - such as in automation, machine construction, or the automotive industry.
Valve functions can be changed quickly and easily without having to disassemble the valve terminal system first - thanks to an identical base plate being used for all valve functions, and integrated plug connections. This keeps each Rexroth HF03 model flexible to accommodate later changes.
As the HF03-LG can also be used with other standard valves in the HF03 series within one unit, it is suitable for a wide range of applications.
Rexroth says the HF03-LG weighs even less than the HF03 standard version by virtue of its polymer end plates. Forward-facing pneumatic and electric connections create extra mounting options while keeping installation dimensions compact to suit individual space requirements. The system is also flexible in its electric connections since it uses the proven electronics found in the Rexroth HF04 bus module. Whether multiple-plug or fieldbus, the connection type can be converted at any time without having to disassemble the valve terminal system, which saves time.
Compact and robust, the HF03-LG is sealed to IP65 (NEMA 4). All valve functions (2x3/2, 5/2 and 5/3), as well as vacuum ejectors and pressure regulators, are available. Separate exhaust connections within the valve terminal system enable operation with different pressures. The valve terminal system from Rexroth can be mounted directly or onto DIN rail. Adding further versatility to the line, it is available with either metric or imperial air connections.
