ITT Interconnect Solutions is introducing the VEAM PowerLock Box that enables emergency power to be quickly and safely reconnected to large facilities such as supermarkets, defence installations, factories, hospitals and offices in the event of failure of the mains supply. Offering a single reconnection point, the PowerLock Box is simple and speedy, which is vital in restoring power to essential equipment.
The VEAM PowerLock Box provides a single, easy-to-use connection point for any emergency generator and enables cables from a mobile generator to be quickly connected to a facility's power system. VEAM PowerLock Boxes have ground, neutral and three-phase connectors that are keyway-controlled and can only be mated in the correct sequence. Contacts are finger-protected to prevent inadvertent touching of live parts.
Electrical specifications include current ratings of 400A and 600A and up to 1000V AC. Connectors are colour-coded to international three-phase standards and can be mated up to 500 cycles. The PowerLock Box is 19-inch rack-mountable in a 2U space. Available in sealed, lidded and lockable versions, the PowerLock Box is also VDE certified.
